I was already walking when the sun came over the trees. We decided to stop in at Ollalie Lake Resort for lunch since it is only .1 mile from the trail. I have a ton of food but I wanted a soda from the small store there.
There was a great view of Mount Jefferson over the lake, the next mountain on the itinerary for display. It was cloudy all morning but the sun came out after lunch.
The trail at the end of the day turned to rocks. It was also more exposed and we had light a little later, but I would have gladly traded the twenty extra minutes of dim light on loose rocks for clear dirt path in the dark.
We did 25.9 miles to camp next to a creek.
Great views!
Wonderful photos. Can’t wait to see you. 🙂
